PagerDuty
Connect PagerDuty to OpsTrails to automatically create incidents when change freeze windows or deployment policies are violated. See the Notifications overview for how channels work.
Configuration
- Routing Key (required) — A PagerDuty Events API v2 integration key used to route incidents to the correct service
How It Works
- OpsTrails sends events to the PagerDuty Events API v2
- Incidents are created with “warning” severity
- The incident summary includes the guardrail name, violation details, and the event that triggered it
Getting Your Routing Key
- In PagerDuty, go to Services → Service Directory
- Select the service you want to receive OpsTrails alerts (or create a new one)
- Go to the Integrations tab
- Click “Add Integration” and search for “Events API v2”
- Copy the Integration Key — this is your routing key
