PagerDuty

Connect PagerDuty to OpsTrails to automatically create incidents when change freeze windows or deployment policies are violated. See the Notifications overview for how channels work.

Configuration

• Routing Key (required) — A PagerDuty Events API v2 integration key used to route incidents to the correct service

How It Works

• OpsTrails sends events to the PagerDuty Events API v2
• Incidents are created with “warning” severity
• The incident summary includes the guardrail name, violation details, and the event that triggered it

Getting Your Routing Key

1. In PagerDuty, go to Services → Service Directory
2. Select the service you want to receive OpsTrails alerts (or create a new one)
3. Go to the Integrations tab
4. Click “Add Integration” and search for “Events API v2”
5. Copy the Integration Key — this is your routing key
